Reminiscent of a northern Rhône Cote Rotie-style Syrah, this wine offers hints of smoky oak, leather, and vanilla on the nose. Lots of ripe blackberry and spicy plum wrapped in smooth, supple tannins. These grapes, handpicked by the winemaker, are grown on a small four acre vineyard located in the Estrella District in Paso Robles, Ca. Barrel aged 14 months in 80% American oak and 20% French oak.
